Sunny San Diego

Sunday - 3mi
Monday - Swim/Yoga

Yesterday was fabulous. It was a beautiful sunny San Diego day, one of those days where you can't help but smile because your wearing a tank top and shorts on your run instead of tights, gloves, and a hat (Sorry east coasters!). It was also my first run where I actually completely forgot about my injury. I was sweating and running fast enough to make a 3 mi run actually feel like a real run. It was one of those runs that gave me hope, which is both wonderful and scary. I've been at point where I dare hope things are getting better, yet here I am once again attempting to build up mileage. But I'm gonna risk the heartbreak once again. I feel like everything is coming together. I've been doing the strength work for almost six weeks now, my flexibility has greatly improved since I've started yoga, and the foam roller is possibly the most amazing tool ever.

I managed to make it to the pool today after a two week hiatus. It felt good to swim again. The last two weeks were kind of disastrous in terms of working out. Time to get back to being disciplined.
