Thursday December 24
18 miles, 56 bike path
When you don't feel like running, an 18-miler is pretty brutal. It honestly took me until I hit the turn around point before I even felt into this run. But my splits coming back were much better...7:30s to 7:40s, so luckily I snapped out of it. Crazy start to a busy day that involved last minute shopping, work, cookie baking, pie making, wrapping gifts, hosting Dad, then over to Dad's for xmas eve. Started feeling sick in the evening. Think I'm over doing it much?
Got a Wii from dad for xmas! And of course the first game I plan on buying is Summer Olympics. ;)
Friday December 25
OFF
Planned double for the day CANCELLED. Sickness is setting in. If I refrain from overdoing it like usual maybe I can nip this before it gets too bad.
Christmas was fantastic even thought I was sick. Mom got me the kitchenaide stand mixer I've wanted for as long as I can remember, except she actually got me the 90th anniversary edition that is candy apple red with a glass mixing bowl. I'm in love.
Survived dinner with the rest of the Fam and was even feeling better as the day went on...mostly just felt fatigured. Got to see my man later that night for a perfect ending to a wonderful christmas season.
Saturday December 26
8 miles North, easy
Sickness going away. Sweet. Took off with mom to the Desert for outlet shopping and little overnight away.
Sunday December 27
8 miles Treadmill + Strength
Up in the Desert with Mom and didn't want to deal with trying to figure out where to run so just hit up the gym in the Casino. Was the only one there for my entire workout. Apparently people come to Casinos for the gambling and buffets.
After the workout both quad/hips feeling not so great.
Monday December 28
Off - Ok, this wierd hip thing I've been running through for two weeks now is bugging both legs now. I need to nip this before it gets worse. Not sure what my plan is...maybe bike tomorrow...pop some pills. Ugh, I hate putting running on hold but I can't train effectively when every step hurts.
