Wednesday - (AM) 9 miles
4 miles distance, 4 miles back steady pick up, 1 mile distance
Was supposed to do some sort of workout today (6x8 or 4xmile on the roads...love the sporadic workouts i've been doing...really should nail something more solid down) but in light of the achilles wasn't even sure if I would be able to run...and if I could, I figured intervals was not the best way to test things out.
Was extremely surprised to not have any pain as I started down the 101. Last night as I rolled home I actually put on running clothes with the intention of at least trying to elliptical or bike at the gym. Then some sense of reason came to me...maybe MAYBE if I just chilled out and iced I'd be in a better position tomorrow. So I actually listened. Funny how that worked out well.
Overall a little twingy on the run but barely noticeable. WAY better then Monday and Tuesday. Decided to slowly cut down the pace on the way back, just to wake up the legs a little since I wasn't doing any speed today. Didn't run any blazing splits but felt comfortable and was not straining the entire way back despite the increase in pace, so that was nice. Hopefully I'll sneak in some 800s on Friday if I'm not too exhausted from my first night with BRIDGET!!!!! UBER excitement for visiting with my buddy :-D
